Anna Burns’ art fascination began from the moment she got a hold of a crayon. As a child, she was constantly drawing faces and characters in the classroom much to her teachers’ disapproval. Her early childhood influences include Marvel comic books and japanese anime cartoons. Shortly after graduating high school, she discovered a hidden passion for drawing perfect eyebrows, eyeliners and lips from friends in cosmetology. She has a formal education in art, design and color theory from the renowned Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. After graduating college, she worked for Columbia TriStar TV, Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon as a storyboard artist. However, she did not give up her passion for transforming the human body through her art. She worked for Celebrity Status Tattoos in Atlanta and discovered a new canvas for her artistic expression. In the spring of 2013, Anna’s affection for design, color and cosmetics led her to pursue an education in permanent makeup at John Hashey’s Advance School of Permanent Cosmetics. Pursuing her love of enhancing natural beauty brought her full circle and she found an ideal way to combine her background experiences in traditional art, body art, and makeup into a rewarding new career in the field of Permanent Cosmetics.
